While London’s Victorian sewers are still in excellent condition, the city’s growing population means they are full to capacity and regularly spill raw sewage into the River Thames. Tideway is the company building London’s new super sewer, a 25km tunnel from west to east London that will prevent sewage pollution in the river and help create a cleaner, healthier environment for London. With 24 sites across London, construction started in 2016 and is due for completion in 2024. Inclusivity is at the heart of Tideway’s values.
