Shane Andrews
Network Rail

Shane Andrews MBE is a Project Manager in the Operations Delivery team at Network Rail’s Wales route.  In addition to his paid role, he’s currently the chair of Archway (their LGBT+ employee network).  Shane was awarded an MBE in the 2021 New Year’s Honours list, for services to Diversity & Inclusion.

Geffrye Parsons (he/him)
Macquarie

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, Geff has over a quarter of a century of experience in investment banking, based variously in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Amsterdam.  He joined Macquarie in 2013 as a Managing Director in the EMEA region, and now focuses on structured risk mitigation and distribution, and key change management projects.

Geff has also chaired the Pride (LGBTQ+) employee network group for over seven years, during which time it has grown to include (with allies) one-third of the ~2,000 staff in the EMEA region.

Under his stewardship, Macquarie:

  • won the inaugural PinkNews’ Business Equality Award in October 2018, in recognition of its exemplary commitment to LGBTQ+ rights within its workforce, its customers and the business; and
  • has been named in the Top UK 100 Employers list by the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ rights charity, Stonewall, in each of its past four years of submission (2016, 2017, 2018, 2020).

Individually, Geff’s passion for promoting LGBTQ+ inclusion and equality has resulted in his:

  • winning the award for ‘LGBT+ Inspirational Leader’ at the British LGBT Awards in May 2019;
  • being ranked in the top quartile of the global list of the Top 100 LGBT+ Executives in each of 2018 and 2019 (sponsored by the Financial Times and Yahoo Finance);
  • being nominated for the award of ‘Corporate Role Model’ at the Pink News Awards in October 2018; and
  • acting as a judge for both the British LGBT Awards and the PinkNews Awards.

Outside of work, Geff acts as trustee for two important UK-based LGBTQ+ charities: GiveOut and Diversity Role Models. He is also a frequent speaker and writer on LGBTQ+ and D&I-related matters.  For leisure, Geff is a frequent competitor in international tennis tournaments organised globally by the Gay & Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA), typically in partnership with his husband, Kevin.

Henry Gosling (he/him/his)
Group Diversity and Inclusion Manager (Tesco)

Henry has worked at Tesco for 16 years, starting as a Customer Assistant in his local store and progressing through several store management positions, before moving to head office to deliver change projects in stores. In 2019, Henry joined the LGBTQ+ at Tesco network, playing a key role in the refresh of the network and was instrumental in Tesco’s support for Pride that year, celebrating and supporting 43 events with Tesco colleagues and customers in communities across UK & ROI. He is now using his passion for inclusion to support all five of Tesco’s colleague networks and D&I across the Group, through his role in the Diversity & Inclusion team.

Adam Jarvis (he/him/his)
Global Logistics Performance Manager and LGBTQ+ Network Co-Chair (Tesco)

Adam joined Tesco in 2017 in the office, starting as a Business & Data Analyst within Supply Chain. He has spent his career so far working across a range of business functions and now works in the Global Logistics team, deliverying analytical insight on Tesco’s in-bound operation. Prior to joining Tesco, he studied for a Master in Mathematics at Durham University and went on to work as Development Officer and Director/Trustee of Durham Students’ Union – focusing on building leadership development opportunities for students and support for the university’s student minority associations.

Adam joined LGBTQ+ at Tesco in 2019, leading the refresh of the colleague network which has made a significant impact in the business, and now has over 1,000 members. He is passionate about promoting inclusion within Tesco for the LGBTQ+ community and other underrepresented groups.
